About the trail

Le Puy was one of the four classic starting points in France named in the medieval pilgrim guide, and its walk is a succession of Romanesque churches, villages on granite plateaus and high pastures. The Aubrac plateau and the Lot valley around Conques are the best-known highlights.

Seven sections of the Chemin du Puy are part of the UNESCO property Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France.
