About the trail
The path hugs the coast through Exmoor, north Devon and Cornwall, rounds Land's End and then runs back east along the Channel to Dorset. It has constant short climbs and descents at estuary crossings and headlands, so progress is slower than the distance suggests.
A fast walker needs about 30 days; at a gentler pace it takes seven or eight weeks.
