About the trail

The trail runs between 600 and 2,000 m and is marked with white and purple blazes. It passes cedar forests, monasteries and villages and uses guesthouses.

Along the way it goes through the Qadisha Valley, with its rock-cut monasteries, and the Chouf cedar reserve in the south. Supporting village guesthouses and local projects has been one of the trail's aims since it was set up, and most people walk it in sections rather than end to end.

No source gives the days on foot, so they are worked out from the length at 20–25 km a day.
