About the trail

Camino Podolico is a cultural and ecological route across Podillia, modelled on the Ways of St James, that links Vinnytsia with Kamianets-Podilskyi by way of Bar and continues to Zavallya. It passes towns and villages with a long history: Yaltushkiv is first mentioned in 1431 and Vinkivtsi in 1493, Bar grew under Queen Bona Sforza and has the Church of St Anne, and Zhmerynka arose in 1865 with the building of the railway.

The route is organised with the city councils of Vinnytsia, Bar and Kamianets-Podilskyi and lists St James Way International among its official participants. It is divided into 14 stopping points between 20 and 30 km apart, where walkers collect stamps, and the 2026 season opened on 1 April; the organisers warn that before the season overnight stays and stamps are not guaranteed.

Length measured on the OpenStreetMap line; no official figure checked yet.

No source gives the days on foot, so they are worked out from the length at 20–25 km a day.
