About the trail

The main trail runs for more than 900 km, and about 400 km of side trails bring the whole network to 1,300 km. It passes cliffs, caves, forests and small towns between Lake Ontario and Georgian Bay. The main trail was completed in 1967 and is marked with white blazes, and the escarpment it follows is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
