About the trail
The track is waymarked with a yellow triangle showing a rainbow serpent and has huts about a day apart. Walkers can go in either direction. The track takes its name from the Bibbulmun, a Noongar people of the south-west. Its northern half runs through jarrah forest in the hills behind Perth; further south it passes the tall karri and tingle forests near Walpole and then follows the wild south coast to Albany.
End-to-end walkers go in the cooler months, between April and early November.
